In 2003, for the first time in Ukraine, the Memorial Hall of Nobel Prize Winners in Economics was opened in Dnepropetrovsk University of Economics and Law (now - Alfred Nobel University), the higher educational institution of the 4th (highest) level of accreditation.
All the enlarged copies of Nobel Prize Winners’ medals, which are the basic feature of the highly solemn design of this Memorial Hall, have been executed by a famous Dnipropetrovsk medal design artist Evgen Groshev.
From the moment of its opening, the Hall of Nobel Prize Winners in Economics has become an important center of scientific and educational activities not only at the University but also in Dnipropetrovsk Region and Ukraine as a whole.
Notable events are held here with great success: international and inter-university scholarly and practical conferences, meetings of creative nature, ceremonies of awarding prizes to winners of prestigious contests and championships, as well as opening and closing of regional stages of All-Ukrainians Olympiads and competitions in Economics for high school students. Following the established tradition, it is in this Hall that the students of the University receive their diplomas of Bachelors and Masters.
It can be said without an exaggeration that every event within these walls becomes significant for the scholarly and academic life of Ukraine and the world, attracts attention of scholars and academics from Ukraine and other countries.
September3, 2010 Dnipropetrovsk University of Economics and Law met distinguished guests - Metropolitan of Dnipropetrovsk and Pavlograd Irineya Prince and First Deputy Chairman of HAC of Ukraine Viktor D. Bondarenko.
Rector DUEL Boris Kholod distinguished guests familiarized with the memorial park complex "Planet of Alfred Nobel", tolf the memorial sign "Planet of Alfred Nobel", presented the university.
In the Hall of Nobel laureates in economics DUEL solemn meeting of Academic Council. In the presence of members at a meeting of the Academic Council of the University, teachers, students, invited guests, media representatives, Metropolitan of Dnipropetrovsk and Pavlograd Irineya Prince and First Deputy Chairman of HAC of Ukraine Viktor D. Bondarenko were given the honorary title of professor of Dnipropetrovsk University of Economics and Law.

The Department of Commodity Analysis and Commercial Activities held a joint conference in the results of the externship of students from Dnipropetrovsk University of Economics and Law, Dnipropetrovsk Transport-Economics College and Dnipropetrovsk College of Economics and Law.

A meeting with Yaroslav Gritsak, a profound Ukrainian historian. Yaroslav Gritsak shared his views on Ukrainian history and presented his book “Ukraine: Between East and West”. Yaroslav Gritsak is a Doctor of History, is the Director of Institute of Historical Research at the Ivan Franko National University of L’viv, and is the Professor of Harvard and Columbia Universities.

3rd round of National Olympiad in Economics which was held for the 5th time on the premises of Dnipropetrovsk University of Economics and Law. There were 92 participants from Dnipropetrovsk region.

Dnipropetrovsk University of Economics and Law organized the First International Scientific Conference “Fundraising: World of Great Opportunities”. The participants of the conference were welcomed by Boris Kholod, the President of the University and Oksana Chornaya, the Director of the Institute of International Finance.

2nd International Scientific Conference “Issues of Modern Economics and Institutional Theory”. The conference was organized on the initiative of International Association of Institutional Research, State University – Higher School of Economics (Moscow), G. Plehanov Russian Economics Academy, the State Organization «Institute for Economics and Forecasting», Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences, Ukrainian National Metallurgical Academy (DNK), Donetsk National Technical University.
The main objective of the Conference was to stimulate research in institutional economics theory and to establish contacts between institutionalism supporters in the world.
