Alfred Nobel University, Dnipropetrovsk held Fourth International Nobel Economic Congress "World Economy of the XXI Century: Cycles and Crises." This international event takes place in Dnipropetrovsk every two years (since 2008) and significantly popularizes science and the Nobel movement in the modern world, promotes mutual understanding and strengthening of contacts between academic economists from different countries and their development of new joint programs. More than 120 scientists have provided materials for the Congress, they represent 9 countries, particularly Kazakhstan, Belarus, Poland, Russia, Austria, Sweden, India, the U.S.A. and Ukraine.
The main topic of the scientific discussion at the Fourth International Nobel Economic Congress this year: "Economics and economic practice: the dialectic interaction."
Due to the challenging current situation in Ukraine all planed Congress programs were decided to divide for two areas: the real and virtual.
Traditionally, during the Congress opening the Third World Students' Online Contest on Economics winners were awarded: Vladislav Bessarabov, student of Tugan - Baranovsky National University of Economics and Trade, Donetsk; Mikhail Hudym, student of Alfred Nobel University, Dnipropetrovsk; Irina Savitskaya, student of Donetsk State University of Management; Ekaterina Arkhipova, student of Alfred Nobel University, Dnipropetrovsk. Also traditionally, at the start of the Congress a student panel - "New Generation Nobel ideas" was held - during which students-winners and nominees of the Internet - Contest presented their research papers.
During the Alfred Nobel University, Dnipropetrovsk Academic Council solemn meeting at the Congress framework, Grzegorz Kolodko, Kozminski University Professor, former Vice - Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Poland was awarded with Honorary Professor attributes of Alfred Nobel University, Dnipropetrovsk.
As part of the Virtual Congress was held the videobridge Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine) - Katowice (Poland), "Implementation of the European choice of Ukraine: Polish support and Polish experience." With the help of modern media tools, scientists, students, government officials, as well as all Internet users(by broadcasting on the site www.nobel-univer.edu.ua ) were able to communicate efficiently on solving the main problems of utilities and municipal complex.
The presentations were made during the videoconference by G.Kolodko, Professor of Kozminski University (Poland) with the theme: "New Pragmatism - economics and politics of the future" ( in the report were considered alternative development platform of the market economy, it was shown that the new pragmatism, based on the minimization of non-uniform income distribution, leads to bigger public satisfaction growth than during the inequality growth. These results demonstrate the levers , which primarily involves the state in the economy regulation process), and M. Fierce, Vice-President of Katowice, with report "The experience of European integration in Poland: how it can be useful for Ukraine"; V.E.Momot, Professor of Alfred Nobel University, Dnipropetrovsk (Ukraine) and the Graduate School of the OSH management (Poland); P.Vutke, Development Director of the Graduate School of the OSH management (Poland) with the theme "Prospects of international cooperation in the field of education."
The discussion was attended by Malgorzata Sikorskaya, Chancellor of the Graduate School of the OSH management (Poland) and Boris Kholod, President of Alfred Nobel University, Dnipropetrovsk.
In the virtual part of the Congress was held the transcontinental OLINE WORKSHOP "Modern Education: Challenges of the cross-cultural communication" (Ukraine - USA) with Dr.J.Johnson (Walden University, USA), Dr. Svetlana Buko (Ukraine), and also (with Skipe - communication) Dr. Boyd Johnson (Illinois, USA). Events of this Online Seminar were important for students of international economics English programs, as well as for other economic areas.
The Congress highlighted the panel discussions dedicated to the birth anniversaries of the Nobel Prize winners in economics, and other well-known academic economists, in particular:

Panel Discussion 5. "The theory of the economic and political decision- making" (for the 95th anniversary of J.M. Bukenen).
