to Nobel Laureates in all categories, academics, authors, political leaders, representatives of non-governmental organizations and movements from all over the world
DEAR FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES!
Events of the recent years and months, taking place in Europe and in other parts of the world, are the evidence that humankind is facing numerous and extremely dangerous challenges. Real threats of imbalance affecting global stability, systematic flouting of the norms and principles of international law and the violation of the fundamental principles of the post-war system of international relations are leading to regional military conflicts, which could potentially trigger a global war.
As a result, we need to make efforts to consolidate the activity of all those who support peace and international security in their endeavors to confront the danger of the world slipping into a tragic scenario, strengthen stability, and promote the further development of humanity on the basis of progress and democracy.
A special role in this process belongs to international authorities in the field of science, art and public activity – the Nobel Laureates. That is why we have launched theinitiative of holding the International Nobel Congress «Peacebuilding and educational mission of Nobel Laureates in modern global conditions»on September20-24, 2016, at Alfred Nobel University, Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. This will give a platform for internationally recognized academics, authors, public and political leaders to share their opinions and recommendations on how to overcome threats to peace and international security.
We invite all Nobel Laureates, regardless of their nomination, all academics, authors and artists, public and political figures who are concerned with the goal of strengthening world stability, who want to leave a safe and peaceful planet for succeeding generations, to support our initiative and to take part in the Congress.
